Sci-fi, Fantasy, and Science Celebrities to Descend on the Big Island of Hawaii for HawaiiCon (September 12-14, 2014)

Stars from Game of Thrones, Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, and others headline HawaiiCon’s First Convention.

Celebrities from the Science, Sci-fi, and Fantasy communities will descend upon Hawaii for the first vacation convention of its kind on September 12-14, 2014 at the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel in Waimea, Hawaii. HawaiiCon organizers are taking the convention experience a step further by allowing attendees to book exclusive Adventures With The Stars. Attendees can expect star-filled panels with Guests from hit series such as Star Trek, Game of Thrones, Battlestar Galactica, Babylon 5, Stargate Atlantis, and more. Also attending will be science fiction writers Jane Espenson, whose work includes Battlestar Galactica, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Once Upon A Time; and Drew Z. Greenberg, whose work includes Firefly, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and Smallville.

Adventures With The Stars options include a manta ray dive with Esmé Bianco, a sunset sailing trip with Adrienne Wilkinson, a deep sea fishing voyage with Paul McGillion, a stargazing tour with Michael Hogan, and many more.

Cutting-edge scientists from around the world will share knowledge of their involvement in projects. Bobak Ferdowsi, a.k.a. “Mohawk Guy” from NASA’s Mars Curiosity mission, will be leading the Ultimate Mars Panel. Sci-fi Science Consultant Mika Mckinnon, whose most well known collaboration was with the Stargate franchise, will give attendees insight into how science works in their favorite Sci-fi series.
